Network OER in class.

Homework:

  • 2. Finish your Khan Academy Homework (from last Thursday) before 8am on Wednesday. Go to khanacademy.org. Some hints...
    • If you were absent Thursday, check your Muchin gmail for an invitation.
    • Sign in by clicking the Google logo.
    • Click the little bell in the top right of your page to see the 2 assignments that are recommended for you. In this case, recommended = required.
This means you must complete Midpoint formula AND Manipulating formulas, getting 5 right in a row.
    • KhanInstruction.jpg
    • You may watch the video (on the left, just above the star for the practice) & get as many hints as you need (on the right side of the page), but you will need to get 5 questions right the first time (and with no hints) to master this.
    • KhanInstruction2.jpg
    • You need to have both assignments mastered before Wednesday's advisory. If you remember last minute and finish it during advisory, it will still be counted late and you will receive LaSalle.
    • If you are struggling, (1) EMBRACE THE STRUGGLE! The struggle is real; the struggle is good; the struggle is how you learn. (2) Come to office hours. There are Geometry office hours EVERY DAY this week before AND after school. Check any Geometry teacher's door for directions.

  • Study for the Unit Test on Thursday!!!
  • If you are retaking Quiz 1 or Quiz 2, you must complete the appropriate Khan Academy practice and come to office hours before the Thursday Unit Test. You can complete this on your own or in office hours. If you are completing it in office hours, you should plan to come on 2 days: 1 day for Khan practice & help, 1 day for the quiz retake.

Homework:

    • Form A: Same
  • Reminder 1: Study for your Unit Test (MONDAY) ~ Unit tests are 100 points and can not be made up.
This test will cover midpoint, endpoint, absolute value, and points, lines, & planes. All of these are on Khan Academy if you need extra practice!
If you plan to retake Quiz 1 (absolute value + points, lines, & planes) or Quiz 2 (midpoint & endpoint), you should practice the relevant skills on Khan Academy over the weekend before the Unit Test so you don't miss the same questions. Also, plan to come to office hours next week. (See the main Geometry page for office hour details.)
